Hi, I’m Riyaz Chalise — a 14-year-old building Padha World.
Entrepreneur from Nepal. I started Padha World because extra help with your studies shouldn’t depend on where you live, what language you speak first, or how much your family earns. हरेक विद्यार्थीलाई बराबर अवसर — निःशुल्क, English वा Nepali मा।
Why I built this
Before an exam, most students have one question: “who will explain this so it finally makes sense?” For a lot of kids in Nepal, that answer is a tuition class some families can’t afford, a neighbour who may or may not know the subject — or Google at midnight, alone.
I’m a student too. I know that feeling. So I built the thing I wished existed: a free, patient AI teacher that answers any Class 4–12 question in simple English or Nepali — plus free lessons, daily quizzes, study tools and games that make practice feel like playing.
My dream
Every Nepali student learns without paying for it. A kid in a remote district deserves the same quality help as one in Kathmandu — Padha World is free to use, not a trial that silently becomes a subscription.
No one is left behind by language. Half our students think in Nepali first. The AI tutor answers in English or Nepali — ask “photosynthesis k ho?” and get a clear answer either way.
A student can build something real. If I can ship a working product at 14, I want every young builder in Nepal to believe they can too — and to use Padha World as their starting line.
Padha World, honestly
I’m not going to invent numbers. Here is what exists today: an AI tutor, Padha Play games, friendship quizzes your friends can play without an account, a Daily Quiz, 13+ subjects for Class 4–12, and free study tools — all working on any phone, in English and Nepali. AI tutoring is rolling out as we secure the last pieces. We’re early, and we’re going to keep building in the open.
